Laundry and working out.
I’m getting back into meal planning for the family. I ordered food service gloves and am going to use those to handle meat so that I can cook for them again. I’m just going to have to suck it up; we have been living on pizza, pasta, and eating out. Not only is it unhealthy, it’s expensive. And, I’m back to trying to lose weight! That’s not going to happen if we don’t start cooking at home again. The gloves should get here tomorrow and I’m going to start cooking dinners again. My trainer fussed at me today because my eating has been so disordered lately. I’m just proud that I’ve been writing it in my log. That’s the first step. Now we’re getting serious and what I write has to be good. I love working out but I can’t train away bad nutrition and huge portion sizes. So, meal planning it is. We’ll save money and I’ll be able to control my portions better than I can when I’m at a restaurant. It’s hard not to eat what’s on your plate. I’ve gotten better about taking home some of my food from restaurants, but I still eat too much of the wrong stuff when we go out.
Hubby and the kids are doing quite well and I’m enjoying spending time with them. Mom and Dad are back home and Mom is over the flu that she has gotten once she got home from the last two trips to see us. Now Dad is coming down with it. We’re all fine here. I feel so bad! Mom is never going to want to visit us again!
The bathroom is no closer to being finished than it was a week ago, but I’m not terribly worried about it. I’m trying to get back into some kind of normal routine that includes working out, housework, eating every three hours, and meal planning. PLus getting all the other stuff done that needs to get done. Once I get a little bit of that worked out, I’ll be able to figure out times to finish the bathroom. Right now I feel like I’m always late to do something. I’ll get back into it soon enough though. I took a week off to just veg and now it’s time to get serious again about a routine and getting all of the things done that need to be done. Yes, let’s get serious by all means. No fun here! None. I guess that means I need to turn off the bouncy punk music that I’m listening to while I do housework and write. Uh…no.
Anyway, I’m getting my stuff figured out after a three week bathroom renovation sprint. It totally disrupted everything and now I’m getting back into the swing of things. I’m awfully glad to have that bathroom almost done though. Three years of not having it done was starting to make me a bit upset. But, no more. I think I’ll go hit it a lick right now as a matter of fact. It has a really deep soaking tub and, once I get it the bathroom all caulked, I can scrub it out and take a really hot, long bath with a glass of wine and a good book. It’s upstairs so it’s away from the noise and bustle of the rest of the house. The only things up there are the spare bedroom and the storage room with my stockpile. Quiet and calm. Ahhh, you don’t get that much of that with little boys in the house. Talk about motivation to get it done!!!
