This early bird was up at 3 AM. Yuck. I’m going to want a nap by the time I take the kids to school but, I have an appointment with my trainer and some little bit of grocery shopping to do. I’m almost certainly going to bed early tonight though.
But, this early bird is hanging laundry and getting the checkbook all caught up before the house explodes into the regular morning chaos.
My local store is having a buy 2 get 3 free sale on pasta. I bought several pounds earlier this month, but I’ve been forbidden from having straight regular pasta by my trainer. This sale couldn’t have come at a better time. I can get whole wheat and veggie pasta for a decent price; if I mix those in with the regular pasta, it is trainer approved. I need to buy wild rice as well. Being a vegetarian doesn’t actually cost that much – veggies are pretty cheap – but being healthy costs pretty significantly if you’re not careful. Wild rice isn’t cheap, and neither is specialty pasta. It is still cheaper than buying meat though!
Anyway, I’m off to start the day by hanging some laundry. I don’t think the music will be punk this early, but there’s some good New Wave that I can play. Everything’s better with music.
Reblogged this on vintagethrifter51.com and commented:
It sounds like you and I have the same musical tastes. I usually have New Wave playing when I am getting ready in the morning or sewing and when I am doing housework, the punk comes out to keep me motivated. You are right, everything is better with good music. Have a great day. Cheers, Michele
If it has rock in the name, I listen to it. I love that you are a kindred spirit though! Yay for old school!
I love old classic rock too…The Who, The Stones, The Beatles, etc. I am old school too.
