I am an introvert. I have an anxiety disorder. I’m happy in my small corner of the world. I have all of these reasons to not be an activist. But, here’s the thing…being an activist doesn’t have to mean being Ed Begley Jr. or Robert Redford. Being an activist can be as simple as getting involved in Earth Day cleanups. Writing a blog. Starting a community garden. Small actions make you an activist. Big actions are great, but not all of us are made for them. Something as small as discussing with friends and family your green and thrifty choices and explaining your point of view makes you an activist. You are taking action. That’s all it takes.
